This project explores a contemporary approach to coastal living on Australia’s east coast. Drawing on the work of architectural pioneers and traditions of mid-century tropical design, the house is shaped by an ongoing study of light, landscape and the way spaces are lived in.

Wabi-sabi principles inform the material palette, bringing together natural, tactile and coastal materials chosen to weather and develop character over time. The plan form responds to the rhythms and needs of our clients, creating a home that feels open and connected to its surroundings.
