Terms & Conditions
These terms set out how we sell to you. They apply alongside your statutory rights, which we never remove.
1. Who we are
1.1 We are T&H Projects Ltd, trading as Studio Herma, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15744527), with our registered office at Lumaneri House, Blythe Gate, Blythe Valley Park, Solihull, West Midlands, B90 8AH, United Kingdom. You can contact us at returns@studioherma.com. Our VAT registration number is GB 505 4453 12.
1.2 We sell antique, vintage and decorative furniture and objects through www.studioherma.com (the “Site”) to customers in the United Kingdom.
2. Scope of these terms
2.1 Consumer means an individual buying for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Trade buyer means anyone else, such as a dealer, retailer or interior designer buying for their business.
2.2 These terms apply to every order placed on the Site, alongside our Returns & Cancellations Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them before you buy.
2.3 Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2.4 We currently deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only.
3. Our items and how we describe them
3.1 Almost every item we sell is one of a kind. Each listing has a stock of one, so once an item is sold it is no longer available.
3.2 Every item is photographed, examined and described before listing, including its age or period, materials, dimensions, any restoration and known flaws. We describe items honestly and to the best of our knowledge.
3.3 Where we cannot date an item precisely we say “circa” or give a range. Terms such as “vintage”, “period style” or “reproduction” are used to mean what they say.
3.4 Antiques show the signs of their age, such as patina, wear, small marks and old repairs. Where these are consistent with the age and condition we have described, they are not faults. Flaws we list are part of the description.
3.5 Colours can look different on different screens. Dimensions are measured carefully but may vary slightly. If you would like more photographs, measurements or a condition report, please ask us before you buy.
3.6 It is your responsibility to check that an item will fit your space, including doorways, staircases and lifts, before you order.
4. Prices, VAT and payment
4.1 All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are the total price of the item. Delivery is shown at checkout before you pay. We will not add anything to the price you see at checkout.
4.2 [Most / All] of our items are sold under the VAT Margin Scheme for second-hand goods, works of art, antiques and collectors’ items. Under this scheme, VAT is not shown separately on invoices or receipts and cannot be reclaimed by the buyer. If an item is not sold under the scheme, the price shown includes VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery charges include VAT at the standard rate.
4.3 If we discover an obvious pricing error before we dispatch your item, we will tell you and give you the choice of buying at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
4.4 Payment is taken in full when you place your order, through [Squarespace Payments / Stripe / PayPal]. We do not see or store your full card details.
5. Placing an order and forming a contract
5.1 To order, add the item to your basket, follow the checkout steps, check your details and place your order. You can correct mistakes before you pay.
5.2 After you order, we will email you to acknowledge it. This is not our acceptance of your order. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm that we have accepted it or, if earlier, when we dispatch the item.
5.3 If we cannot supply an item, for example because it was damaged before dispatch or listed in error, we will tell you promptly and refund you in full within 14 days.
5.4 Our order emails are automated and can sometimes be filtered into junk or spam. If you do not see your confirmation within a few minutes, please check your junk folder and add our sender address to your contacts, or email returns@studioherma.com with your details.
6. Delivery and risk
6.1 Delivery is covered by our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Unless we agree a different date with you, we will deliver within 30 days of your order.
6.2 The item is at our risk until it is delivered to you, and at your risk from then on. You become the owner once we have received payment in full.
6.3 Please check the item on delivery and report any damage as set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
7. Cancelling, returns and faulty items
7.1 If you are a consumer, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your item. This and your rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described are explained in our Returns & Cancellations Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7.2 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
8. Trade buyers
8.1 The consumer cancellation right does not apply to trade buyers. Trade orders are final once dispatched, except where an item is faulty or materially misdescribed, as set out in Section 03 of our Returns & Cancellations Policy.
8.2 Please tell us at checkout or by email if you are ordering as a trade buyer, so that we can apply the correct terms.
8.3 Trade buyers are responsible for their own VAT treatment and for any onward sale. VAT on items sold under the Margin Scheme cannot be reclaimed.
9. Intellectual property
9.1 The photographs, descriptions, design and other content on the Site belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written consent.
10. Our liability
10.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for your statutory rights as a consumer, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
10.2 If you are a consumer and we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable.
10.3 If you are a trade buyer, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for the item.
11. Events outside our control
11.1 We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, courier disruption or strikes. If this happens we will tell you as soon as we can and, if delivery would be delayed substantially, you may cancel for a refund.
12. Your information
12.1 How we use your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
13. Complaints
13.1 If something goes wrong, please tell us. Our Complaints Procedure explains how to raise a complaint and what happens next.
14. General
14.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
14.2 If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply.
14.3 Only you and we have rights under these terms. Nobody else can enforce them.
14.4 If we do not enforce a right straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.
14.5 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live. Trade buyers submit to the courts of England and Wales.

Shipping & Delivery
This section explains how we send and deliver your order. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and does not affect your legal rights.
1. Where we deliver
We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom.
2. How we send your item
Every piece is packed with care for the way it travels. The method depends on the size and fragility of the item.
• Small and boxable pieces (ceramics, glass, lighting, decorative objects):Tracked and insured parcel courier via [DPD / Evri / Parcelforce / DHL]. Typical timing: Dispatched within [3] working days; delivered in [2–5] working days
• Large or fragile furniture: Specialist furniture courier via [DPD], blanket-wrapped or crated, delivered by appointment. Typical timing: Booked within [3]working days; delivered in [5–10] working days
3. Delivery costs
Delivery costs are calculated at checkout from the size, weight and destination of your order. The price you see before you pay is the total you pay, and it includes VAT.
For a few very large pieces or remote postcodes, we may need to confirm the delivery cost with you before we accept your order. If so, we will email you and you are free to cancel for a full refund.
4. Dispatch and delivery times
We aim to dispatch or book delivery within [3] working days of your order. Delivery estimates at checkout are our best estimate, not a guaranteed date, unless we agree a specific date with you.
Unless we agree otherwise, we will deliver within 30 days of your order. If we are going to be late, we will tell you as soon as we know.
5. Packing and insurance
Your item is packed and, where needed, crated to protect it in transit. It is insured for its full value from the moment it leaves us until it is delivered to you, and it remains at our risk until then.
6. When your item arrives
• For large items, an adult (18 or over) must be present to receive and sign for the delivery.
• Our furniture courier delivers to [the doorstep / the room of your choice] with a [two-person] team. [Confirm the service level you have booked.]
• Please tell us before delivery about anything that could affect access, such as steep or narrow stairs, lifts, narrow doorways or parking restrictions. Please also check the item’s dimensions against your doorways and stairs when you order.
• If a delivery cannot be completed because access was not as you described, a redelivery charge may apply. We will confirm the amount with you first.
7. Checking your item on delivery
• Where you can, inspect the item before you sign and note any visible damage on the courier’s paperwork.
• Take photographs of any damage and of the packaging, and keep the packaging until we have resolved the matter.
• Email returns@studioherma.com with your order number and photographs, ideally within [48 hours]. Telling us quickly helps us sort things out sooner, but it does not affect your legal rights.
8. Damaged or lost in transit
Your item is our responsibility until it is delivered. If it arrives damaged or does not arrive, we will arrange a refund or another resolution under our Returns & Cancellations Policy, and we will deal with the courier ourselves.
9. Tracking
We will email you tracking details or a delivery appointment when your item is dispatched. If you do not receive this, please check your junk folder or contact us.
10. Returns postage
Postage for change-of-mind returns is at your cost, as explained in our Returns & Cancellations Policy. We recommend a fully insured, signed-for service with careful packaging.

Returns & Cancellations
This policy covers antique items bought from www.studioherma.com by customers in the United Kingdom. It applies alongside, and does not affect, your other legal rights.
Each piece we offer carries its own history. This sets out, plainly, how we handle yours.
Section 01: If you’re a private customer (consumer)
Your 14-day right to change your mind
When you buy an item from us online, you have a legal right to cancel your order for any reason, no reason needed, within 14 days of receiving it. This is a statutory right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and it applies in addition to everything below. We cannot and do not remove it.
To cancel within this window:
• Tell us you wish to cancel, by email to returns@studioherma.com or using the cancellation form at the end of this section, within 14 days of receiving the item.
• Send the item back to us within 14 days of telling us you’re cancelling, in the same condition it arrived in. You may unwrap and examine an antique as you reasonably would in a shop, but excessive handling, use, or damage beyond that may lead to a deduction from your refund reflecting the reduction in value.
• Return shipping for a change-of-mind cancellation is paid by you, and we strongly recommend fully insured, signed-for, and well-packaged shipping. Antique items are irreplaceable and we cannot refund an item lost or damaged in return transit due to inadequate packaging.
• We’ll refund the item price and original standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the item back (or of you providing proof of postage, if earlier), to your original payment method.
[Include only if you run public auctions that customers can attend in person: This 14-day right does not apply to items bought at a public auction that customers can attend in person. Those purchases are final, subject to Section 02.]
Outside the 14-day window: sold as described
Beyond the 14-day cancellation period, we do not offer returns or exchanges for change of mind. Every item is individually photographed, condition-checked, and described, including its age, materials, restoration history and honest wear, before listing, so you can buy with confidence. We’d encourage you to read the full condition notes and contact us with any questions before your 14 days are up.
Section 02: Faulty, damaged, or not as described — always covered
Regardless of the 14-day window, if an item arrives damaged in transit, is faulty, or doesn’t match its description (for example, a material, maker, or period stated incorrectly), you’re protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and none of the limits above apply. In summary:
• Within 30 days of delivery: you’re entitled to a full refund.
• After 30 days and up to 6 months: you’re entitled to a repair or replacement first (rarely practical for a one-of-a-kind antique, in which case a refund or price reduction applies instead).
• Contact us at returns@studioherma.com with photos and a description of the issue as soon as you notice it, and we’ll arrange collection and a refund or resolution. Return postage is on us for a genuine fault or mis-description.
Section 03: Trade and business buyers
If you’re buying in the course of a business, as a dealer, retailer, interior designer, or other trade buyer, the consumer cancellation right in Section 01 does not apply to your order, and all trade sales are final once dispatched, except where an item is faulty or was materially misdescribed. Please confirm at checkout or by email if you’re ordering as a trade buyer so we can apply the correct terms.
Section 04: How to request a cancellation or return
Email returns@studioherma.com with your order number. We aim to respond within 2 working days.
Complaints Procedure
Our aim
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If something has gone wrong, we would like to hear about it so we can put it right.
How to complain
Email returns@studioherma.com. Please include your name, order number and a description of the problem, with photographs if relevant.
What happens next

• We will look into it and aim to send you a full response within [10] working days.
• If we need longer, we will tell you why and when to expect an answer.
• If you are not happy with our response, ask for it to be reviewed by [name / the business owner], who was not involved in the original decision.
If you are still not satisfied
