DESCRIPTION
A beautifully proportioned antique oval mirror, set within an ebonised frame with richly moulded floral and foliate detailing.
The deep black frame features a repeating band of scrolling floral ornament, bordered by delicate beaded moulding. At its centre, the oval mirror plate is finished with a bevelled edge, catching the light beautifully and giving the otherwise dark frame a subtle sense of depth.
The monochromatic ebonised finish gives the piece a particularly graphic quality, while the ornate moulding retains the character and craftsmanship of a traditional antique frame. A lovely decorative mirror for a bedroom, bathroom, hallway or layered amongst artwork and collected objects.
